The B.Sc Optometry is a four-year undergraduate program focused on training a student for the ocular management domain. This program creating a multipurpose ophthalmic workforce at the paramedical level. The training will help a student become proficient in offering service as a Refractionist, Optician, Optometrist, and Ophthalmic Assistant to the citizens in semi-urban, urban, and rural locations in Semi-Government, Government, and Private Sectors.
The candidate must have passed 10+2, or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Maths (with Bridge Course of Remedial Biology) with a minimum of 50% marks.
After completing the course, students can either pursue higher studies or choose a career in public health, government service sports vision, or community health centres. The varied profiles on which the graduates can work are: Associate Professor Independent Optometry Clinic Vision therapist Lab Assistants/Research associates
